Inventor – Research in the UPS / Inverter Industry

Having a degree in Mathematical Statistics and Law from Delhi University, he also majored in power electronics despite having no technical background. While handling multiple businesses, he became the head of Su-Kam's R&D division.

Sachdev was the first Indian industrialist to file a patent for technology and design in the Indian power backup industry. He is also credited with the invention of the world's first plastic body inverter and his invention was also named as "Innovation of the Decade" by India Today.

Kunwar revolutionized the power backup industry by inventing world class technologies like MOSFET, microcontroller based and DSP sine wave. They also gave India the "Home UPS" which had the properties of both UPS and Inverter.

Before Su-Kam, the inverter industry was ruled by more than 100 people selling shoddy products – but Kunwar challenged the entire inverter industry with his invention.

Kunwar was never satisfied with his achievements and was always hungry to invent some new technology.

Keeping this in mind, he made changes in the technology of UPS. And today Kunwar is all set to launch its first touch screen UPS with Wi-Fi connectivity. Hardly anyone would have thought that this would happen one day.

He is also known as the "Inverter Man of India" for his many important contributions to the development of the power backup industry.

Kunwar's love for technology had always grown. He was very interested in manufacturing green energy, he wished that green energy should be built everywhere in India.

खोजकर्ता – यूपीएस / इनवेटर इंडस्ट्री में खोज

दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी से मैथमेटिकल स्टेटिस्टिक्स और लॉ की डिग्री हासिल करने के साथ ही और साथ ही बिना किसी टेक्निकल बैकग्राउंड के होने के बावजूद उन्होंने पॉवर इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स में महारत हासिल कर रखी थी। विविध व्यवसायों को सँभालते हुए भी वे सु-काम (Su-Kam) के आर & डी डिवीज़न के हेड बने।

इंडियन पॉवर बैकअप इंडस्ट्री में टेक्नोलॉजी और डिजाईन के लिए पेटेंट फाइल करने वाले सचदेव पहले भारतीय उद्योगपति थे। विश्व के पहले प्लास्टिक बॉडी इन्वर्टर के अविष्कार का श्रेय भी उन्हें ही दिया जाता है और उनके इस अविष्कार को इंडिया टुडे ने “इनोवेशन ऑफ़ द डिकेड” का भी नाम दिया।

कुंवर ने वर्ल्ड क्लास टेक्नोलॉजीज जैसे मोस्फेट (MOSFET), माइक्रो कंट्रोलर बेस्ड और DSP साइन वेव का अविष्कार कर पॉवर बैकअप इंडस्ट्री में क्रांति ला दी थी। उन्होंने भारत को “होम यूपीएस” भी दिया जिसमे यूपीएस और इन्वर्टर दोनों के गुण थे।

सु-काम (Su-Kam) के आने से पहले इन्वर्टर उद्योग पर 100 से भी ज्यादा लोगो का शासन था जो घटिया माल बेच रहे थे – लेकिन कुंवर ने पुरे इन्वर्टर उद्योग को अपने अविष्कार से चुनौती दी रखी थी।

कुंवर अपनी उपलब्धियों से कभी संतुष्ट नही थे और उनमे हमेशा कुछ नयी टेक्नोलॉजी का अविष्कार करने की भूक लगी रहती।

कुंवर को कई बार लगता था की,

“यदि वर्तमान में सभी इलेक्ट्रॉनिक टच स्क्रीन और वाय-फाई से जुड़े है तो होम यूपीएस क्यु नही?”

इसी को ध्यान में रखते हुए उन्होंने यूपीएस की टेक्नोलॉजी में बदलाव किये। और आज कुंवर अपना पहला टच स्क्रीन यूपीएस लांच करने के लिए तैयार है जिसमे वाय-फाई की सुविधा भी दी गयी है। एक दिन ऐसा भी होगा शायद ही किसी ने सोचा होगा।

पॉवर बैकअप इंडस्ट्री के विकास में उनके बहुत से महत्वपूर्ण योगदानो को देखते हुए उन्हें “इन्वर्टर मैन ऑफ़ इंडिया” के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

टेक्नोवेशन के प्रति कुंवर का प्यार हमेशा बढ़ता ही गया था। ग्रीन एनर्जी का निर्माण करने में उन्हें काफी रूचि थी उनकी इच्छा थी की भारत में हर जगह पर ग्रीन एनर्जी का निर्माण होना चाहिए।

एक दशक पहले सौर उर्जा के उपकरण आने वाले दशको में क्रांति लायेंगे। उनके घर से सम्बंधित सौर उपकरणों में सोलरकॉन (एक्सिस्टिंग इन्वर्टर को सोलर इन्वर्टर में बदलता है) और ब्रेनी (दुनियाँ का पहला हाइब्रिड सोलर होम यूपीएस) शामिल है।

उन्होंने बहुत से छोटे हाउस रिमोट से लेकर बड़ी इंडस्ट्री के लिए भी सोलर उपकरणों की खोज की है। यूनिक सोलर DC सिस्टम के निर्माण में भी उनका बहुत बड़ा योगदान रहा है।

कुंवर के कठिन परिश्रम के बाद ही सु-काम (Su-kam) सर्वाधिक मार्किट शेयर पाने में सफल रही। फ़िलहाल सु-काम का लक्ष्य भारत के हर एक घर को सोलर एनर्जी से जोड़ना है।

बेहतरीन विक्रेता –

सु-काम की स्थापना के पहले वर्षो में ही कुंवर ने मार्केटिंग और एडवरटाइजिंग के महत्त्व को जान लिया था और इसी वजह से सु-काम अखबार में विज्ञापन देने वाली पहली इन्वर्टर कंपनी बनी।

कुंवर के पॉवर सोल्यूशन सेक्टर में आने से पहले किसी भी कंपनी का विशिष्ट प्रोडक्ट मैन्युअल या कैटेलॉग नही था लेकिन कुंवर ने इसे बदलकर सु-काम के सभी प्रोडक्ट का एक बेहतरीन और आकर्षित मैन्युअल प्रोडक्ट बनाया था।

कुंवर ने अपमी कंपनी सु-काम के लिए बेहतरीन मार्केटिंग स्ट्रेटेजी बना रखी थी और इससे पहले किसी कंपनी ने मार्केटिंग स्ट्रेटेजी नही बनायी थी लेकिन इसके बाद 90 के दशक में सभी ने उनके रास्तो पर चलते हुए मार्केटिंग स्ट्रेटेजी बनाना शुरू किया।

इसके बाद सु-काम प्रसिद्ध ढाबो के बोर्ड स्वयं बनाकर उन्हें गिफ्ट करती थी और उनपर अपने उपकरणों का विज्ञापन भी देती थी।

इसके पीछे एक कहानी भी है जिसके अनुसार एक बार कुंवर कश्मीर में दाल सरोवर देखने गए थे और वहा उन्होंने बहुत सी खुबसूरत “सीकर नाव” भी देखि और अगले ही दिन वे सभी नाव सु-काम में परिवर्तित हो गयी।

कुंवर उन महान उद्योजको में से एक है जिन्होंने इंटरनल ब्रांडिंग के महत्त्व को समझा। कुंवर ने सु-काम कल्चर को इस तरह से सजाया था की उनका पूरा स्टाफ सभी त्यौहार (इसमें सु-काम का खेल सप्ताह भी शामिल है) ख़ुशी से मनाते थे, उनका स्टाफ किसी बड़े परिवार से कम नही था।

एतव और अभिनेता रवि किशन के साथ मिलकर कुंवर ने अपना पहला रियलिटी टीवी शो इंडिया ग्रेटेस्ट सेल्समेन – सेल का बाज़ीगर भी लांच किया। इससे पहले विक्रेता लोगो को प्रेरित करने के लिए किसी ने भी इस तरह के शो को नही देखा था। इस शो को बहुत लोगो ने पसंद किया और हजारो और लाखो लोगो ने इसमें भाग लिया। और इसके विजेता आज सु-काम में काम करते है।
