Business opportunity in real estate
While living in Hong Kong during his job, he made up his mind to invest in real estate in India. But being an NRI, he had to face many problems in this work. He realized that buying a property in India while sitting miles away is a difficult and complicated process. He saw many reasons for this.Firstly, there was a lack of professional players in this space who could help or guide them in this investment process or provide unbiased advice and correct information. In such a situation, investing in the country while living outside your country is a very challenging task. On talking to some of his NRI friends, Tanuj learned that they too have faced similar problems. Seeing this gap in Indian real estate, Tanuj saw a business opportunity in it and decided to become an entrepreneur.
Research became the foundation of business
Pursuing the decision to start a business, Tanuj founded Square Yards in 2013 with an investment of $100,000. Initially, Tanuj started doing in-depth research on real estate in various micro markets of top 10 cities of India and sharing the findings with the NRI community. After some time, Tanuj saw that the demand for NRIs was increasing, so he started expanding his business by setting up offices in metro cities of India. He also began building relationships with top developers.
went through many ups and downs

But Tanuj knew very well from the experience gained during his eight years of service that this challenge can come in front of any industry. He did not give up and made his employees efficient by training them. Not only this, he also provided complete freedom of work to the employees and also the ability to understand the responsibilities that come with this freedom. Tanuj knew very well that growth depends on your talent, hard work and encouragement.
found a strong footing
Tanuj's unique strategy for selling prime real estate has made his venture a successful one in a short span of time. In a span of just 22 months since its inception, the company has registered its presence in five different countries and 14 cities in India. Not only this, in such a short span of time, we have also been able to build a strong team of 900 employees.Talking about the figures, the revenue of Square Yards has crossed $100 million in this financial year.
